I had to bring you something a little different today: Brie Bacon & Dijon Loaded Tater Tots. Its either a classed up version of tater tots, or a dressed down version of a classy restaurant meal – you can choose which way you’d like to describe them, but they are de-freaking-licious. Even my husband, who typically hates brie, thought these were amazing. They’re also incredibly easy to make.
BRIE BACON & DIJON LOADED TATER TOTS
- 1 package of Brie
- 1/3 cup Sour Cream
- 3 tablespoons of Dijon Mustard
- 1 package of frozen Tater Tots
- 4 pieces of cooked Bacon
- 1 tspn Chives
Do all your prep work first:
Preheat your oven and get your tots going according to the directions on the bag. Cook your bacon, let it cool and then crumble it up into tiny pieces and set aside Dice up your chives and set them aside. Take your sour cream and dijon mustard, mix them together and set aside in a bowl.
Once you’ve got all that done, the rest of the work goes quite quickly….
Pull your tots out of the oven when they’re finished and spread them around a plate. Put the brie in your microwave on a plate for 1 minute. When it comes out it should be quite soft and runny. Turn your plate and scrape the cheese down on to your tots. Do this slowly so you can spread the cheese around. Then add a dollop of your dijon sour cream. Sprinkle your bacon and chives on top, and then serve!
It’s an incredibly easy dish to make, and its very tasty. I like to serve it when I have friends over for drinks or in larger quantities for parties. You can put it out in batches if you want to make sure the cheese stays nice and hot and gooey, but its still very good straight out of the fridge the next day.
